Helen S. Wales, 80, a native of Dade City, Florida and resident of Raceland, Louisiana passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home on Wednesday July 26,2016 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Byron D. Wales; son, Byron Reid (Amanda) Wales; daughter, Amy Laura Havins; sister, Hazel Baldwin; grandchildren, Jacob Wales, Kyle Wales, Logan Wales; nephew, Sam Parrish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Belle Sparkman; brothers, J.C. Sparkman, E.B. "Stack" Sparkman, W.L. "Bill" Sparkman; sister, Margaret Parrish; nephew, Randy Baldwin.
Helen was loved and admired by family and friends. She enjoyed visiting, telling entertaining stories, playing cards and life in general. She was generous, compassionate and interested in sports, politics and traveling.
