Gloria Lafont Esponge

Gloria Lafont Esponge, 89, a native of Cut Off and resident of Galliano passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Monday, December 21st from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Laura Lafont (Michael) Brooks, Nickie Esponge and Vickie Esponge; step-children, Harold Esponge, Verly Duet and Phil Esponge; grandchildren, Monty, Jace, Lindy, Angelle, Tristan, Nicholas, Kacey and Trey; 9 step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Eden, Ivy and Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clannis Esponge; parents, Oristle and Octavie Lafont; grandson, Jobie Esponge; brother, Herman Lafont; sisters, Elta Duet and Yola St. Pierre.
Gloria was a long-time member of prayer group Shalom.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
