Gloria Pelt Dufrene, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 12, 2017, at the age of 86.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church starting at 12 noon, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Gloria leaves behind her daughters, Michele Martin (Johnny), Leslie Plaisance (L.J.), René Duet (Glenn); grandchildren, Tait, Alicia, Elizabeth, Cody, Monte, Shannon, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Joseph "LJ" Dufrene Jr.; parents, Sam W. Pelt and Zula R. Pelt; brother, Gerald Pelt and sister-in-law, Lois M. Pelt.
Gloria taught in elementary school for 33 years. She shared her love of sewing and needlework after retirement by teaching others.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
