Gladys Uzee Foret, 97, a native of Raceland and resident of Lafourche House for the Aged the past 3 years, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church from 9:00 am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum.
Gladys is survived by her children, Gary Foret (Roberta), JoAnn Smith (companion Chuck Smith), Carolyn Detillier (Bobby), Margaret Roussel (Gene); brother, Camille Uzee, Jr.; sister, Catherine U. Holman; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Eloise B. Foret.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George J. Foret, Sr.; parents, Camille and Dora Grabert Uzee; son, George J. Foret, Jr.; brother, Verdun Uzee and sisters, Lita U. Lalande and Eula U. Labat.
In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is entrusted with arrangements.
