Gary "Black" Callais, Sr.

Gary "Black" Callais Sr., a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at the age of 71.
Gary is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte Williams Callais; sons, Gary Callais Jr. (Polly), Chad Callais; Grandchildren, Courtney Callais, Brody Griffin; siblings, Barbara McGinn, James Callais Sr., Dickie Callais, Gayle Brister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evans Callais Sr. and Anna Chouest Callais, brothers, Evans Callais Jr. and Terry Callais Sr.
Gary loved playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a proud American that served in the Army in Vietnam.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
