Freddie J. Griffin, 62, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Lockport died on Monday, August 5, 2013.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Christine Champagne Griffin, sons, Chad Griffin and wife Veronica, Corey Griffin and wife Aimee; grandchildren, Adela Thibodeaux, Coby Griffin, Logan Griffin, Bethany Boura, Elizabeth Griffin, and Ella Griffin; his beloved brother-in-law, Mike Eschete and wife Deborah; beloved friend, Ronald Chiasson; brothers, Randy Griffin, Bobby Griffin; sister, Adela Dupre; and his beloved dog, GeGe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ferdinand Griffin, Sr.; mother, Mabel T. Griffin; brother, Ferdinand Griffin, Jr.; sister, Marie Eschete.
Freddie was a simple man who life to the fullest. He was a selfless servant to all people that needed help regardless of creed and color. The community has truly lost a treasure.
