Eumes Joseph "E.J." Griffin, Jr., a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Cut Off, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be held starting at 11 am with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
Eumes is survived by his wife of 68 years, Julia Sanamo Griffin; daughters, Sylvia G. Galliano (Michael), Debra G. Autin (Ryan); son, Eumes J. Griffin III (companion, Debbie); sister, Thelma Schouest; brothers, Nolte Griffin, Charles Griffin, Steve Griffin; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eumes Griffin Sr. and Liza Cheramie Griffin.
He loved playing his harmonica for birthdays and charities. He loved his LSU and NY Yankees teams, hunting, fishing and his family.
Samart-Mothe is entrusted with arrangements.
