Edith Richoux Bailey, 92, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Larose died peacefully on January 21, 2013. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 23, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with burial immediately following in the Sacred Heart cemetery. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her brother, John Richeaux of Larose and by many generations of loving nieces and nephews and their families in both Louisiana and in Houston, Texas. She will also be remembered by her many devoted friends in the South Lafourche area. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Bailey of Houston, parents Eva Marie and Elson Richoux, sisters Gladys Pollock and Mable Tucker of Houston, Texas, and Elenore Richoux of Cut Off; and brothers Evans (Vin) Richoux, Ernest Richoux, Steve Richoux and Clarence Richeaux all of Louisiana. "Blackie", as she was fondly known to her family and friends, was a devoted and caring daughter, sister and aunt to many, who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
