Ernest Amos Iii

Ernest Amos III, 85, a native of Vinton, LA and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on May 1, 2019. A visitation will take place on May 3, 2019 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with procession following to his burial at Cheramie Cemetery.

Mr. Ernest is survived by his wife of 60 years; Rema Rousse Amos, daughter; Rosalie Amos Matherne (Mark), grandchildren; Jamie Cantrelle (Shannon Dufrene), Jill Martin (Denny), and Jenny Plaisance (Audie), and great grandchildren; Sierra and Caden Lerille, Tricia, Broady, and Brayten Martin, Justin Cantrelle, Jared, Jennica, and Jobie Plaisance.

Mr. Amos was preceded in death by his daughter; Melba Amos, parents; Joyce Harvey and Ernest Amos Jr., and son-in-law; Wayne Cantrelle.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and friends and never met a stranger.
