Elson A. "Yogi" Martin passed away on June 14, 2012 at 1:55 p.m. He was a native and resident of Cut Off, LA.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9am until funeral time. A mass will be held at the church at 11am with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Guidry Martin, son Jeffery Martin and wife Christine; daughters, Dana Gros and husband Dale, Tanya Cheramie and husband Jody; brothers, Jessy Martin, Johnny Martin; sister, Maryann Martin; grandchildren, Joshua Gros, Erin Gros, Brandon Gros, Brett Cheramie, Jobie Cheramie and Jerald Plaisance; entire B&E Seafood family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Loridia Plaisance Martin; sisters, Audrey Martin, Enola Curole.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was in the seafood business for 30 years. Family was his life. He loved sitting on his porch telling stories of the good old days to his grandchildren.
