Edward J. “Wood” Pitre, 92, a native of Cut Off and resident of Larose passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Monday, June 21st from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Dennis J. Pitre (Tarra); daughter, Mary Pitre Breaux (Larry); sister, Hazel Pitre Redmond; grandchildren, Dr. Corey Duplantis, Casey Duplantis (Victoria), Courtney Hebert (Dwight), Ross Breaux (Theresa), Crystal Bellanger (Tony) and Jacob Breaux; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Amie, Landon, Evan, Aiden, Alexis, Jacoby, Braydon and Kenna; great-great-grandchildren, Rhett and Rhyan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ougel Pitre; parents, Mark and Judith Lafort Pitre; brothers, Eddie Pitre, Clarence Pitre and Mark Pitre, Jr.; sister, Edith P. Pitre.
