Doris Rodrigue Trosclair, a long-time resident of the Chackbay community, passed away Sunday, the 7th of December, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center at the age of 81. She is survived by her three children, Randy Trosclair (wife Nora) of Thibodaux, Jodie Trosclair Cassity (husband Mike) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Troy Trosclair of New Orleans. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kirk Trosclair, Mitzi Musgraves, Macy Trosclair, and Kaitlin Cassity, four great grandchildren, Drey Trosclair, Dayne Trosclair, Libbi Musgraves, and Eli Musgraves, four sisters, Joyce Gros, Bertha Morvant, Virgie Hebert, Shirley Clement, and one brother, Walter Rodrigue, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Joseph Trosclair, her parents, Walter Rodrigue Sr. and Lucia Andras Rodrigue, and one sister, Anna Mae Morvant.
Doris especially enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, baking, reading, and most recently, painting landscapes. She was a loving, dedicated mother who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 12th at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, Louisiana. Visitation will be at 8:30 a.m. The funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. with burial service to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Lung Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
