In loving memory of Doris Curole Simpson born in Cut Off, Louisiana on July 9, 1937 and who passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's on July 4, 2015. She grew up in the Cheniere and Grand Isle area and graduated from Golden Meadow High School. Doris married Herbert Dale Simpson and lived in the New Orleans area, where they raised their four sons. Doris had a passion for sewing, cooking as well as visiting with the patrons and working at the Dunkin Donuts that she and Herb owned in Metairie, Louisiana for many years. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Herbert, son Glenn, parents Andre' and Mercedes Lefort Curole, brothers Alvin, Calvin and Harrison Curole. Doris is survived by her loving sons Donald (Terri), Ronald (Kristen) and Jeffrey (Aimee'); grandchildren Briana, Samantha, James, Baylor, Parker and Reese; sister in laws Beverly and Maxine Curole as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. All who knew Doris will miss her kind and loving spirit. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on 15300 West Main St., Cut Off, LA at 9am with a funeral mass following at 11am on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Instead of flowers, a donation in Doris' name to the Alzheimer's Association (3445 North Causeway Blvd., Suite 902, Metairie, LA 70002) will be appreciated.
