Doris G. Gisclair, 71 native and resident of Golden Meadow, LA was born on Sunday September 29, 1940 in Golden Meadow and passed away on Friday August 31, 2012 in Golden Meadow.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Tuesday September 4, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time. A mass will be held at the church at 3:00 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
She was survived by her son, Darryl "Darrow" Gisclair and companion Nikki Gerald; daughters, Pam Terrebonne and husband Rickey, Brenda Gisclair; sisters, Lena Rousse, Gloria Cheramie, Annabel Verdin, Linda Cheramie, Gail Johnfroe; grandchildren, Celeste Cheramie and husband Joseph, Jordon Gisclair, Hunter Gerald; great-grandchild, Ayden Cheramie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Gisclair; parents, Lionelle and Evella Guidry; brothers, Leffery Guidry, Norces Guidry; sister, Brenda Guidry.
Doris was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bowling, Ironing, Horse Rodeo and playing Pedro.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
