Darby Silas "Darby Doo" Cheramie, 31, a native of Cut Off and resident of Cut Off and Labadieville, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Cut Off and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Edwanna G. Kieff and husband, John; father, Delton "Del" Cheramie Jr. and wife, Melissa; grandparents, Louis Griffin Sr., Neva and Harold Griffin, Annie Cheramie and Lorena Guidry; stepbrothers, Regan Kieff, Jonathan Kieff and Jason Cheramie; and stepsisters, Jennifer Ordoyne and Emilie Cheramie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dudline Griffin, Delton Cheramie Sr., Adolph Guidry and Edville Kieff Jr.
Samar-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
