Daniel J. Doucet, 73, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Odile Bellanger Doucet; sons, Chuck Doucet (Avis), Chet Doucet (Sandra); daughters, Colette Curole (Robert), Danielle Doucet (Josie), Nicol Terrebonne (Jody); grandchildren, Zackary, Elizabeth, Olivia Doucet, Alex and Trey Terrebonne, Caleb Doucet; great grandchild, Layne Doucet; brother, Kenneth "Nico" Doucet and sisters, Martha Griffin and Gloria Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Frances Griffin Doucet and grandchild, Justin Doucet.
Daniel loved the outdoors, especially hunting and trawling.
