Dane Daryl Dufrene, 53, a native of Galliano and a resident of Lockport, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Friends and family are invited to graveside services on Tuesday, June 4th in Cheramie Cemetery at 10 am.
Mr. Dane is survived by his brothers, Donny Dufrene Sr. (Melissa) and Damon Dufrene, nephews, Donny Dufrene, Jr. (Renee) and Coby Dufrene (Adrianna); nieces, Chelsie Dufrene (Kirk) and Haily Dufrene (Candace); great nephews, Ace, Duke and Brody; great niece Brynnlie; Godchildren, Lauren and Donald "Donny".
Mr. Dufrene is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Weems Dufrene; parents, Frenchy and Cora Thibodaux Dufrene; brother, Dustin Dufrene, grandparents, Francis and Bella Callais Dufrene and Laurance and Eve Dufrene Thibodaux.
Dane was a firefighter and EMT for many years on the West Bank and enjoyed LSU and Saints football. We would like to thank The Broadway for the care they gave him in the 2 years he was there. Especially his nurse April, who went above and beyond to help him.
