Clyde "Jay" Cheramie, 58, a native and resident of Larose passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Mathews on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our lady of the Rosary Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his fiancé, LaQuita Meek; mother, Hilda Verret Cheramie; son, Jason Paul Cheramie; daughters, Emilie Ann Cheramie, Jennifer Cheramie Ordoyne and husband Casey; brother, Jasper "Boe" Cheramie and wife Nonie; sister, Edwina Cheramie Koen and husband Mike; grandchildren, Westin Ordoyne, Natalie Ordoyne; grand dogs, Kimie, Pearl, Suzie, Peppa Cat.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Cheramie.
He was a third generation owner/operator of a Crew Boat Company. His passion was for his grandchildren, children and his work. He was a kid at heart and a friend to everyone.
C-Paw lived his dash with a purpose!
