Clifton Joseph Dantin

Clifton Joseph Dantin, 97 a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Baton Rouge, La. passed away on Wednesday August 11, 2021 with his loving family at his side.
Visitation will be on Saturday August 14, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from
9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial in the church cemetery.
Clifton is survived by his children: Brad (Karen) Dantin, Karen (Chris) Thayer, and Helene (Pete) Melancon, grandchildren: Lucia, Arianna, Alisha, Benjamin and Bailey.
Clifton was preceded in death by his wife: Lucy Eldefonso Dantin, parents: Jean Batiste and Leoncia Autin Dantin, brother: Jean Batiste Dantin, Jr. and sister: Norecia Dantin Lombas.
Clifton was a member of the American Legion Post 38, served in World War II in the US Army and he received both a Victory Medal and a Purple Heart. He was retired the US Navy and was the owner and operator of Dantin Electrical Services.
