Cleophas J. "Fed" Duet, 91, a native of Golden Meadow, and resident of Galliano, passed away at 9:32 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Military honors will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church by the United Veterans League. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mae H. Duet; stepson, Darryl Orgeron; stepsisters, Louella and Flora Mae Duet; six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred V. Duet; parents, Xavier and Julie Callais Duet; stepson, Leonce R. Orgeron; and brother, Linton A. Duet Sr.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
He was a third and fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, DAV, VFW and American Legion.
