Charles "Nick" Clifford Nichols, 85 a native of Georgia and resident of Des Allemands passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Assembly of God Church in Des Allemands on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. by The United Veterans League. Funeral Services will be observed at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Mennonite Cemetery.
Nick was born on May 4, 1929 in Dawson, Georgia to the late Homer and Mittie Lavina Nichols; step mother, Vera Nichols; belated siblings, Dewey, Sanford, Edward, Mildred, Frances and Junior.
Nick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gail; beloved father to Freddy, Anna, Junior, Valerie, Charles, Rosalyn, Pamela and Constance; siblings, Ralph and Ann; beloved grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Nick was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War.
