Carolyn Cantrelle Savoie

Carolyn Cantrelle Savoie, 77 a native of Lafitte and resident of Cut Off and St. Martinville passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Saturday, January 6th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 20 years, Dickie Savoie; daughters, Ronda (Timothy) Gunter, and Barbara (Brent) Ledet; grandchildren, Christen (Jonathan) Derise, Trevyn (Vee) Pertuit, Adam (Shannon) Pertuit, Marcus Gunter, Isaiah (Sarah) Gunter, Bethany Gunter, Trent Ledet, Taylor Ledet, and Tate Ledet; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Annalise, Issac, Ella, Rhett, Nora, Alijah, Anjelah, and Travis; siblings, Leona, Roy, Edward, Dolores, and Wilfred.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and Armongene Cantrelle; siblings, Clarabell, Tony, Eugene, Ernest, Dalton, and Doris.

Carolyn loved crocheting blankets, watching soap operas, dancing, listening to Cajun music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carolyn worked for many years at Lafitte Frozen Seafood before retiring and moving to Cut Off.
