Burleigh Johnson, Jr.

Burleigh Johnson, Jr. 53, a native of Eunice, La. and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 13, 2021 at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time. A funeral service will be at 11:00am with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Burleigh is survived by his wife of 33years, Liesa Dickerson Johnson, children; Jordan Johnson and wife Brittney, Zach Johnson and fiancé Claire Yates, and Abbey Johnson, grandson; Noah Johnson, brother; Randell Thibodeaux, sisters; Ramona Kraemer, Gladys Reed and Barbara Bellard.
Burleigh was preceded in death by his daughter; Emily Johnson, parents; Burleigh, Sr. and Rose Blanchard Johnson, brothers; David, Donald and Robert Thibodeaux.
Burleigh was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing,
hunting and completing his wife’s endless home renovation.
Burleigh was employed by Bayer Crop. Sciences for 25 years.
