Bobby P. Martin

Bobby P. Martin, 87, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025.

 Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral home in Mathews on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ena Hebert Martin; son, Wayne Anthony Martin (Mary); daughters, Jody Martin Veuleman (Dan), and Robin Martin Moody; brother, Nolan Martin; grandchildren, Jarred (Sarah), Danielle (Caleb), Lance (Julie), Blake (Kayla), Mason (Maggie), Camellia, Heather (Blake), and Cody (Deborah); and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Abe, KatieJo, Avah, Talon, Cameron, Elliot, Emmet, Daniel, and Wesley; great-great-grandchild, Salem; and his one and only golden child, Teddy “TeTDur”.

 Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Hypolite and Lydia Adams Martin; son-in-law, Keith Moody; brothers, Ernest, Larry, Anthony “Tony”, and Charlie; sister, Rosalie Martin; and three infant siblings. 

 Bobby proudly served his country in the Air Force as a Basic Airman from 1955 to 1959. He retired from a long career at Grace Offshore and was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church.
