Betty Matherne Zeringue, 82, a native and resident of Raceland passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015.

Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Randy Zeringue (Mona); daughters, Susan Barbier (Terence), Lisa Hebert (Michael); brothers, J.C. "Jake" Matherne, Kirlin "Nookie" Matherne, Clarence "Buck" Matherne, Jr., Francis "Poonie" Matherne, Robert "Bobby" Matherne; sisters, Verna "Noonie" Theriot, Beatrice "Bea" Falgout; grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah, Patrick Zeringue, Ashley, Cheri, Claire Barbier, Alyssa Molaison (Ben), Taylor Hebert.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy John Zeringue; parents, Clarence "Cayenne", Sr. and Cecile Matherne; brothers, Willie "Billy" Matherne, Jerry "Pee Wee" Matherne; grandson, Christopher Zeringue.
