Belinda “Beannie” Guevara, 60, a native and resident of Larose passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020.
A private visitation will be held.
She is survived by her children, Shain Lovette and Opel Lovette; grandchildren, Matthew Mathenia, Lataih Lovette, De’Kyah Brown and Raymond Matherne; brothers, Norman (Dale) Matherne and Rex (Anna) Matherne; sisters, Virginia Richard, Ella (Gerald) Naquin, Dianne (David) Hollowell and Fay Matherne; sister-in-law, Guthrie Matherne; brother-in-law, Larry Schexnayder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustin and Rose Mae Matherne; brother, Edgar Matherne; sisters, Judy (Leonard) Jacks and Beulah Schexnayder; brother-in-law, James Richard.
Family and friends know her as "Beannie". She could bring a room to laughter, dance the night away and loved to play cards til dawn. Her grandchildren would light up her world, especially Matthew. Matt made sparkles come to her eyes so proud to see him graduate from high school and a recruit for the Navy. She will be greatly missed but her stories will be told forever until we meet again.
