Barbara "Granny" M. Chouest, 70, a native of Houston, Texas, and resident of Cut Off, died Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial to be held at a later date.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gilmay Chouest; son, Dwayne Chouest; daughter, Yvonne Bellanger; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Regina R. Seitz; brother, Donald Seitz; and sister, Debra Magana.
