Barbara "Bobbie" Chabert

Barbara “Bobbie” Chabert, 93, a native of Cut Off and resident of Kennesaw, GA. passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

A visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off beginning at 11:00 am with burial following in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bobbie is survived by her daughter; Debra Chabert Griffin and son-in-law Raymond Griffin, grandchildren; Gina Dore (Keith), Margo Dufrene, Jessica Cheramie, Angie Ward (Jeff), Joshua Danos, Chene’ Guidry, Jacob Griffin, Jordy Griffin (Kim), Jeanne’ Smith, Jacob Chabert (Lila) and Sam Chabert, great grandchildren; Jye Dore’, Rustin Orgeron, Stevie, Davey, Tony, and Janie Cheramie, Tori and Alex Ward, Karver Guidry, Lucas and Myles Griffin, Taylor Smith, Tylar and Gabby Mrzywka, and Isabelle and Charlotte Chabert, and great great grandchild; Allyah Dore’.

Mrs. Chabert is preceded in death by her husband; Godfrey P. Chabert, Sr., companion of 17 years; Herman “Manny” Dufrene, daughters; Christine Chabert, Carolyn Lombas, Melinda Chabert, son; Godfrey “Pete” Chabert, Jr., grandson; Benjamin Chabert, parents; Florence and Margaret McCarthy, sister; Florence Brisky, and brothers; Leo and Joseph McCarthy.

Bobbie enjoyed cooking, Mardi Gras, bus trips to the casino, and working in her yard.
