Audrey "Granny" Curole Acosta, 78, a native and resident of Cut Off was given life on November 10, 1937 and was chosen to be with God on April 2, 2016.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 5th from 9:000 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Freddie Acosta, Jr.; son, Christopher Acosta and wife Gretchen Acosta and their children, Laci Acosta, Jason Acosta and fiancé, Michele Jarreau and their children, Cy Acosta and Cade Acosta; daughter, Gwyn Acosta Creek and husband Harry Creek and their son, Myles Creek; brother, Roland Curole and wife Loretta Curole. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, students and beloved lifelong friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orestile and Clotilde Cantrelle Curole; her brothers, Murphy "Poppa Smurf" Curole and Anthony "Chopper" Curole.

She was a retired elementary school teacher where she taught for many years.

She was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she spent time attending church; she was a Eucharistic Minister and religion teacher.

Among her many hobbies and joys were; attending church activities, hunting, fishing, playing cards, COOKING, and watching Saints football, she was a devoted member of The Red Hat Society, loving her family, but most of all spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She dedicated her live to God, family and teaching others.
