Arthur J. "Butch" Bielkiewicz, Jr., 86, a native of Marksville and resident of Galliano for 56 years passed away on Thursday January 10, 2013.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Cut Off on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Glenda B. Curole and husband Welton; sister, Lucille B. Robertson and husband Dennis; grandson, Bryan D. Curole and wife Susan; great-grandchildren, Caroline Curole, Elizabeth Curole, Jacob Curole.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wava D. Bielkiewicz; parents, Arthur, Sr. and Elvira Bielkiewicz; brothers, Wilbert Bielkiewicz, Sylvan Bielkiewicz; sisters, Verdie B. Lemoine, Bertha B. Gagnard.
A dedicated farther and grandfather, he was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Golden Meadow Rotary Club. He was the manager of Gulfco Finance Company in Golden Meadow for 32 years.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
