Arriel "Peggy" Matherne

Arriel “Peggy” Matherne, 90, a native and resident of Gheens, LA, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Raceland Presbyterian Church. Religious services will be at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her brother, Wilkerson “Mickey” Falgout; sisters, Ouida Guidroz and Nona Matherne and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Matherne, Jr.; son, Jeffery Gordon; parents, Dickerson Falgout, Sr. and Marie Rodriguez Falgout; brother, Dickerson “Dickie” Falgout, Jr. and sisters, Pearl Cheramie and Era Jean Bourgeois.
Peggy enjoyed quilting, plants and flowers. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
