Alden J. Griffin, Sr., 85, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Monday, June 5th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Hebert Cemetery.
Alden is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vivian Barrios Griffin; son, Alden "Pookie" (Debra) Griffin, Jr.; daughter, Gail (Carl) Griffin Soudelier; brother, Ordoyne Griffin; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Coby, Jace and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Toni-Jo, Jeremey, Holden, Lennon, Kyle, Walker, Jaden and Madison.
Alden was preceded in death by his parents, Armond and Linda Griffin; son, Anthony "Tony" Griffin; brothers, Albert Griffin and Gilbert Griffin; sisters, Rosemary Cheramie, Ella Mae Schouest and Ambrozina "Boy" Toups; great-grandchild, Scarlet.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
