Alcide "Sonny" Cheramie Jr.

Alcide “Sonny” Cheramie, Jr., 74, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with procession following to his burial at Cheramie Cemetery
Mr. Alcide is survived by his wife of 32 years; Molly Rousse Cheramie, children; Lisa Dardar, Sonny Cheramie Sr. (Sheila), Johnny Cheramie Sr. (Rhonda), Evie Miller (Michael), Rocky Cheramie (Alexandra), 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and sister; Viana Danos.
Mr. Cheramie was preceded in death by his son; Jimmy Cheramie, parents; Alcide Cheramie, Sr. and Odelle Gaudet Cheramie, brothers; Pennington, Linburg, Marcel, Berwick Sr., Bernice, and Ozema Cheramie, and sisters; Evada Cheramie, Alcida Brunet, Alcidee Verdin, Victoria Theriot, Bessie Savoie, and Deeanna Cheramie.
Sonny loved fishing and playing Playstation with his grandchildren.
