Capt. Russell J. Orgeron

Capt. Russell J. Orgeron, 72, a native and resident of Larose passed away on Thursday, June 6th, 2024. Visitation will be held at Christian Fellowship Church on Friday, June 14th from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Service3s will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Russell is survived by his loving wife of 52 years: Jenny Orgeron; children: Russ Orgeron (Danielle); Jilly Orgeron (Dane), Mindy Matherne (Blake), Kimberly Orgeron (John); grandchildren: Rustin Orgeron, Lundun Thomassie, and Arcly Griffin; and brother: Ralph Orgeron. Mr. Orgeron was preceded in death by stillborn son: Rusty Orgeron; granddaughter: Taylor Noel Leonard; parents: Boute and Odette Orgeron; and in laws: Norman and Lauren Dufrene. He was a life long tug boat captain; a loving husband, father, grandfather, a great man with a sense of humor that enjoyed driving his 68 Camaro, his 64-step side truck, his Harley, dancing and smoking a cigarette.
