Henry J. Dantin

Henry J. Dantin, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. He was a native Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Cut Off La.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Henry is survived by his daughters, Susan Dantin, Tracie Dantin, and Polly Dantin Cheramie; grandchildren, Amy Arceneaux Danos, Annie Terrebonne, Alicia Rebstock, Adam Cheramie, Whitney Cheramie, and Desiree Guidry; great-grandchildren, Max Landry, Makalia Torres, Gabriel Terrebonne, Peyton Rebstock, Rosie Rebstock, Alan Cheramie, Landon Brunet, Lucy Brunet, and Lincoln Brunet; sisters, Johanne D. Hohensee and Josephine Dantin; brothers, Harry and T-Jack Dantin.

Henry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years; Janet G. Dantin; parents, Jack and Odelia Danos Dantin brothers, Roy and Daniel Dantin and son-in-law, Alan A. Cheramie.

Henry was a loving husband, son, father, and grandfather. He loved his children and grandchildren more than life itself. He loved the outdoors, fishing, trawling, planting a garden and playing on his tractor.
