Dennis Anthony Viator

Dennis A. Viator, 86, a native of New Iberia and resident of Cut Off passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Thursday, March 7th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with burial at a later date.

Dennis is survived by his children, Gerri Viator, Denise (David) Chaisson, and Tommy Viator; grandchildren, Ashley (Lindsey) Pulley, Heather (Dominic) Cartolano, and Renee Viator; brothers, Harris (Annalee) Viator, David (Cheryl) Viator, Cornelius Viator, and Presley Viator; sister, Anita Latiolais.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ann Marie Arceneaux Viator; father, Rene Viator; mother, Edia Porrier Viator Burke; brothers, Earl Viator, Calvin Viator, and Joseph Viator; sister, Doris Bourque.

Dennis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid bowler, watching sports on TV especially Saints and L.S.U. football. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends
